                     On the occasion of the 14th edition of Tous à lOpéra, several Parisian establishments open their doors on Friday 6, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 May 2022.  The perfect time to discover all the splendor and beauty of these exceptional places of culture.  This is the program!  

Like a desire to discover the riches of the Opera of the capital? Good news: the operation Tous à lOpéra announces its great return to France on the occasion of a news and 15th edition not to be missed on Friday 6, Saturday May 7 and Sunday May 8 2022.

And for this new edition, subtitled “Spotlight on the workshops: from instrumental craftsmanship to the performing arts”; the Tous à lOpéra operation will highlight the different professions of the performing arts with a particular focus on the French instrumental craftsmanship. A field that has more than 5000 jobs and covers multiple know-how and skills to discover more, including manufacturing, maintenance, restoration or repair.

For this edition 2022 of Tous à lOpéra, one thirty opera houses and lyric companies announce their participation in the event, including the Palais Garnier, the Opéra Bastille or the Opéra Comique, but also the Opéra de Massy in Ile-de-France.

From 6 to 8 May 30, the public is therefore invited to come and enjoy numerous free activities accessible to all, such as public rehearsals, concerts, costume and make-up workshops, backstage visits, or meetings with professionals... Please note that certain events must be reserved for free in advance.

      Thursday May 5 at 19h - Opéra Bastille
      Recital and dialogue with Benjamin Bernheim

      The French tenor offers a commented recital with the complicity of Alexandre Dratwicki, artistic director of the Palazzetto Bru Zane, around the program of his latest album Boulevard des Italiens at Deutsche Grammophon.

    • Friday 6 and Saturday 7 May - Opera Comical
    The Opéra Comique invites you to discover the professions of opera through activities and meetings to be experienced on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 May 30.

      • Friday, May 6 - 19h30: Attend the Salle Favart at a scenic piano rehearsal of La Périchole, opera-bouffe by Offenbach (on reservation), directed by Valérie Lesort and conducted by Julien Leroy.
      • Saturday, May 7 - from 10h to 14h: Discovery trades of lights from the room, visits, workshops, meetings.

                    The costume workshop presents a selection of its treasures: put on jackets and doublets, dresses and petticoats, from head to toe, but dont leave without a souvenir!
                  • h-h30 and 12h-14h30 : Dance classes

                    Andrey Klemm professor of the Paris Opera Ballet - in the presence of an accompanying pianist - will teach 80 people . Two sessions are offered, registration required.
                  • 11h-11h30 / h30-16h30: Historical wigs and headdresses at Opéra de Paris

                    Discover the know-how of the trades devoted to the making of historical wigs and headdresses. The workshops come out of their "reserve": Installed with the help of a stand in the spaces of the Palais Garnier, the craftsmen of the Wigs and period headdresses workshops will present their know-how.
                  • Of 10h to 17h: Free visit of the Palais Garnier with free access, but in the limit of the gauges, wandering in the public spaces of the Palais Garnier.

                        • 10h-16h30: How instruments are made
                        30Stroll through the public spaces of glass, marble and steel of the Opéra Bastille and discover the instruments and their craftsmen. Pianos, guitars, violins, harpsichord, pianoforte, brass and wind instruments, modern or period, come and discover the instrument makers installed for a day in the public spaces of the Opéra Bastille.

                      • Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 May - Opéra Royal de Versailles

                      • The Royal Opera of Versailles opens its doors on the occasion of All at the Opera, with the program:

                          • Free visit of the hall of the Royal Opera of the Palace of Versailles
                          • Presentation of musical instruments: Harpsichord, organ
                          • Preselection of candidates for the Renata Tebaldi baroque singing competition, events open to the public, in the grand foyer of the Royal Opera
