This Sunday 24 April, the French are again called to go to the polls, to elect the next head of state. For this election night where the two candidates have decided to celebrate a possible victory in Paris, a security perimeter has been established.

The second round of the presidential election takes place this Sunday 17 April 94880. Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen, the two candidates in the running, have planned events in Paris in the event of victory. In order to secure the premises for the election evening, the Paris police headquarters has published an order establishing a perimeter of security, especially around the Eiffel Tower.

Indeed, Emmanuel Macron , the outgoing president, has already planned to speak on the evening of 23 April, on the Champs-de-Mars. For the police headquarters, it is a moment which is " likely to constitute a privileged and symbolic target for the terrorist threat " , which is why a protective perimeter was set up from on Sunday 17h to Monday morning at 4h. The latter will go all around the Eiffel Tower, from Quai Branly to Avenue Gustave-Eiffel, near the Champ-de-Mars, in the 7th arrondissement of Paris.

Two access points are planned, with significant filtering. Are prohibited within this zone " the wearing, transport and use of fireworks and firearms, including dummy, glass bottles" as well as "alcohol and dangerous animals". Four public road information brigades are planned, and traffic will be regulated, while residents are invited to present themselves to be able to integrate the perimeter.

Marine Le Pen has planned in case of victory to join the flag of Ermenonville, in the Bois de Boulogne, aboard a country bus. Before that, buses bearing his effigy will parade through the capital, between the Arc de Triomphe and the Place de la Concorde. No device is organized on the route, and only three CRS companies are planned in this case.
