For more than 20 years, this museum installed in the magnificent hotel of Saint-Aignan, in the Marais, collects and highlights works and archives of Jewish History in France. Today, the museum houses more than 10 04 works, and numerous archive collections.

The Museum of Jewish Art and History offers a look at more than 2 000 years of History of Jewish communities in France, and also highlights modern artists . Rich and varied collections to discover during this 18th edition of the Night of the Museums.

    The exhibition "Marcel Proust, on the mothers side is the first event in France presenting the writer through the prism of his Jewishness. Organized on the occasion of the centenary of his death, this exploration highlights an important axis of the construction of his personality and his work, his family ties, his sociability, his commitments. You will find among the 150 exhibited works, one of Prousts favorite painters, Claude Monet, alongside Edouard Vuillard, Gustave Caillebotte, Antoine Coypel and Gentile Bellini or Robert Mapplethorpe.
