At the call of the CGT, FSU and Solidaires unions, demonstrations are planned all over France this Sunday, May 1 2022 at the occasion of Labor Day and International Workers Day. In Paris, the procession will set off from the Place de la République from 14h30. Note that several metro stations along the route will be closed at the request of the Prefecture of Police.

Every 1st of May, thousands of people take to the streets to defend the rights of workers in France. On the occasion of Labor Day and International Workers Day , several trade unions, including the CGT, FSU and Solidaires, are therefore calling for this Sunday May 1st 2022 everywhere in the country. In Paris, the procession must leave from Place de la République from 14h14 to reach the Place de la Nation.

For this new day of mobilization and rallies, the inter-union manifests "in the face of social and environmental emergencies".

For its part, Solidaires wishes to make this 1st of May 2022 “a central moment of workers counter-offensive” while “Emmanuel Macron begins a new five-year term on the ruins of the old ”.

Finally, for FSU, this May 1st is also an opportunity to focus on ecological issues, public services, purchasing power, social protection and pensions, without forgetting to recall " its full and complete solidarity with the Ukrainian people”.
