For the Night of the Museums, the Maison de lUNESCO opens its doors to make us discover its architectural and artistic heritage, exceptionally visible all Saturday evening 14 may 2022.

UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, has been taking part in the Night of Museums, this evening that puts art within everyones reach. For this edition 2022, the UNESCO highlights its very rich architectural and artistic heritage.

On Saturday 14 May 2022, from 18h to midnight, the Maison de lUNESCO goes like this open exceptionally to the public who will be able to admire, during unguided visits, the major works of art present at the Headquarters, including those of Giacometti, Miró or Picasso. Visitors will also discover the unique architecture of this place as well as its iconic Japanese garden designed by Isamu Noguchi.

On the new side 2022, the UNESCO will offer interactive workshops and meetings with UNESCO experts who will not fail to reveal the other side of the sector to the public:

  • Restoration and conservation of works of art: students and professionals in the conservation and restoration of works of art will make public condition reports and restore live works from the UNESCO collection, including medieval works of art. Azerbaijan.
  • Exchanges with UNESCO experts: at 19h and 21h, two meetings will allow visitors to discuss with specialists from the Organization on museums in crisis situations and the evolution of museums.
  • Meeting with an artist: Canadian artist photographer Caroline Monnet will present her work and her passion to visitors as part of a donation to the UNESCO by Canada of one of its o vres, Deboutttes.
