The Living History Museum, this museum located in Montreuil-sous-bois, in the Parc Montreau, invites us to celebrate the Night of the Museums this Saturday 14 may 2022. We have the free or guided visit to discover the new exhibitions.

The Living History Museum of Montreuil shows iconographic collections from the Revolution to the years 1960 as well that the archives of several militants and leaders of the PCF, the archives of socialist militants and of the extreme left , in particular.

Created in 1937 by the Association for Living History, the museum of the same name was inaugurated in 1939, on the occasion of the 31th anniversary of the French Revolution. Initially, it dealt with the social movement, colonization and decolonization, the suburbs and the industrial heritage of the city.

Since then opened to new fields of investigation, the museum also presents temporary exhibitions. It sets up educational projects, in connection with schools, which register its dynamic action in the city. On a national scale, the museum is a place of resource for researchers and historians.

On the occasion of the Night of the Museums, we go in Seine-Saint-Denis in Montreuil to take advantage of a self-guided or guided tour of the new free exhibition. Inauguration of the exhibitions:
